Drug Free Communities works with Realtors to decrease the availability and opportunity of prescription medications being taken from the home seller. Community members need to be aware that they need to protect their prescription medications as they would other valuables during home showings, open houses and moving days.

Realtors can use the "Realtor Best Practices for Prescription Safety" document to inform their clients about prescription drug theft and help reduce availability.
