Prescription Safety
This campaign brings education and awareness about Prescription Drug Abuse to the citizens of Fond du Lac County. Prescription drug abuse is a growing problem not only in Fond du Lac County, but also in the nation. It affects both our adult and youth populations.
The goals in this campaign are to educate the community on:
- The dangers of prescription drug abuse.
- The need to secure their prescription medications to keep them out of the hands of children, teenagers and visitors to their home who might misuse or sell them.
- Sharing prescription medications is illegal and unsafe.
- How to properly dispose of medication that is no longer needed or has expired.
