Become Involved
Current members motivating factors for being a part of Drug Free Communities:
- Community Awareness and Education – A passion for bringing awareness and education about substance abuse issues to all youth and adults of Fond du Lac County.
- Internal Motivation or Drive – A sincere belief that members can make a difference in reducing the negative impact of drugs and alcohol in Fond du Lac County, and a desire to be a part of environmental change.
- Drug Free Communities Goals – To work as a group to brainstorm ideas, come to a consensus on specific projects or tasks, develop steps necessary to accomplish the task or complete the project, and to be a part of taking action to reach the goal.
- Personal Reasons – Due to personal experiences or needs, to contribute and in turn gain knowledge and education on substance use issues in an effort to help create a safer community and a better environment for our children.
Other motivating factors that benefit members:
- Networking Purposes – To build relationships and make connections with other agencies and community members who hold the same interests and desires to work together rather than alone on similar goals.
- Agency Related Needs – To be involved with and to support the goals and mission, and in turn to bring visibility and recognition to individual agencies.
