Alcohol & Drug Misuse Prevention

Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County (DFC)

Mission: to decrease substance abuse among youth and adults in our community.

Vision: “Healthier Children Today, Healthier Community Tomorrow.”

DFC is a collaboration of individuals from over 30 community organizations, who come together to address the growing problem of substance abuse in our communities. Our goals are to prevent and reduce:

  • Underage drinking
  • Binge drinking
  • Misuse and abuse of prescription medication and opioids

In Plain Sight

Drug Free Communities of FDL County has produced a video, IN PLAIN SIGHT, which takes place in an average teenager’s bedroom. This gives viewers ideas about how evidence of drinking and drug use can be hiding in plain sight. Watch video now.

Small Talks

Small talks is a campaign to prevent underage drinking, by which short, casual conversations with kids starting at age eight can help you connect with your child about alcohol. Having lots of small talks over time helps build trust and set expectations. As kids change and grow, just choose and alcohol free moment, where you can have small talks anytime anywhere.

Visit SmallTalksWI.org for talk tips, facts, and more.
